Using Multi Team in the Game

How multi-team support works for the Starcks Game

By accessing the Game section, you can view this widget for changing teams.

Clicking on it brings up a list of all the teams you have defined.

Currently, you can define up to a maximum of 5 teams.

The drop-down menu also includes the Manage your Teams button, which allows you to edit, add teams and move tokens from one team to another.

A token can only be present in one team at a time.

The first team, marked with a star, is the default team and is the one that every user already has. All tokens added to the Wallet automatically end up in the default team.

All other Teams must be explicitly populated with Tokens. Allocation is done by dragging a Token from one Team to another, according to your preferences.

The drag-and-drop saving operation is instantaneous; no explicit saving is required.

Some tokens have a lock icon, which means that these tokens have been used to compose a custom Formation. If a Formation has been defined for a Team, all Players associated with that Formation, up to a maximum of 5, are locked.

If you try to reposition a locked token, a menu will appear allowing you to either cancel the move or reset the formation in which it is used. You can achieve the same result by accessing the team in which it is currently allocated and using the classic Reset Formation button.

From the Manage your Teams view, you can also create new teams up to the specified maximum.

A Team name is globally unique and therefore it is not possible to have duplicate Team names. Once you have chosen a name that cannot be changed, save the new Team and you can proceed with the allocation of Tokens.

Each team has separate resource management: it therefore has its own logo, jersey and set of purchased tactics. Resources purchased for one team are not visible to other teams.

Once a team has been selected, you can operate in the Game view with the usual interaction: you can then compose your formation or reset it, with a team corresponding to the selected tokens.

As usual, each team can be registered at a tournament level. Different teams can be registered at the same level without restrictions.

In the Team widget, if some tokens are below the minimum deployment threshold, an appropriate warning message will be displayed.

All existing teams operate according to the logic of the default Formation: when the game round opens, all teams that do not have a custom Formation receive a Default one with the Tokens present in that Team, while all teams that have a Custom Formation already have a snapshot taken when the formation was saved.

During the round, it is not possible to move tokens between teams; you must wait until the next round begins.
